Injuries Impacting Wide Receiver and Offensive Line Positions

The Western Michigan University (WMU) football team released its first injury report of the season, with several key players listed as "day-to-day" ahead of their upcoming game.

Wide receiver Skyy Moore, a standout player who led the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in receiving yards last season, is among those listed as day-to-day. Moore suffered an undisclosed injury in practice and his availability for the season opener remains uncertain.

In addition, several offensive linemen are also listed as day-to-day. The Broncos' starting center, Luke Juriga, has been dealing with an ankle injury. Guards Ethan Carnes and Mike Caliendo are also banged up, with Carnes nursing a knee injury and Caliendo recovering from a concussion.

  • Wide Receiver: Skyy Moore - Day-to-Day

    • Luke Juriga (Center) - Day-to-Day (Ankle)
    • Ethan Carnes (Guard) - Day-to-Day (Knee)

The injuries to the offensive line could significantly impact WMU's running game, which ranked among the top 10 in the MAC last season. The Broncos are scheduled to open their season on Friday, September 2nd, at home against the Illinois Fighting Illini.
