New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III put together a dominant performance on Friday night, leading his team to a 110-102 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Smoothie King Center. Murphy finished the game with 31 points and eight rebounds, shooting an efficient 11-of-16 from the field and 3-of-7 from three-point range.
Despite Murphy's impressive stat line, the Pelicans' victory was a total team effort. CJ McCollum added 23 points and six assists, while Jonas Valanciunas contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Pelicans also received valuable contributions from Brandon Ingram, who had 14 points, and Herbert Jones, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.
